Calling AuxComm/EmComm Vehicles

The Greater Nashville & Middle TN HamQuest is extending an invitation to any EmComm/AuxComm group in any of the counties bordering Wilson Co. (Davidson, Sumner, Trousdale, Smith, Dekalb, Cannon, and Rutherford) that has emergency communications vehicles and/or trailers that are used in support of public events, disaster communications, community service, etc. to bring your unit to the HamQuest this year to be part of our celebration of all those amateur radio operators who give of their time and equipment to provide this much needed service to their communities. These communications assets may be owned by private individuals & organizations or by Municipal, County, or State Government agencies (EMAs, etc.) For more information e-mail auxcomm_display@midtnhamquest.com. We need to know how many pieces of equipment, their size, and how many personnel will accompany it no later than July 1, 2021.

About @MidTnHamQuest

The Greater Nashville & Middle TN HamQuest is a new project dedicated to combining traditional Hamfest elements with less traditional offerings that will help to unite the Ham community. The Quest is sponsored by the Wilson Amateur Radio Club, with assistance from the Wilson Radio League. We believe that the HamQuest is filling a void in Middle Tennessee and it’s surrounding areas. The HamQuest is held at the Wilson County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, TN, home to the state’s largest county fair. Lebanon is just a short drive from Nashville with the feel of rural Tennessee. We have excellent access to I-40 and are convenient to a large geographical area. There are many different camping sites and hotels within a short drive from the HamQuest. The HamQuest provides a wonderful venue, low admission cost, hourly door prizes and technical presentations.
