Dony Biggs, K4OFO (SK)

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of one of our founding members, Dony Biggs, K4OFO (SK). Dony suddenly passed away at his home late this past Saturday night. Dony not only was one of the founding planners of the Greater Nashville and Middle TN HamQuest but was very active in the Wilson ARC, the Mount Juliet Simplex Society, and with Wilson Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Amateur Operations Team. More than any of this, Dony was a friend to us all. Please keep Dony’s wife, family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this time of loss.

Arrangements for Dony Biggs, K4OFO (SK): Visitation Friday, July 16, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM with the services at 2:00 PM. Dony is at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN 37138

Rest in peace Dony Biggs, K4OFO (SK).

About @MidTnHamQuest

The Greater Nashville & Middle TN HamQuest is a new project dedicated to combining traditional Hamfest elements with less traditional offerings that will help to unite the Ham community. The Quest is sponsored by the Wilson Amateur Radio Club, with assistance from the Wilson Radio League. We believe that the HamQuest is filling a void in Middle Tennessee and it’s surrounding areas. The HamQuest is held at the Wilson County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, TN, home to the state’s largest county fair. Lebanon is just a short drive from Nashville with the feel of rural Tennessee. We have excellent access to I-40 and are convenient to a large geographical area. There are many different camping sites and hotels within a short drive from the HamQuest. The HamQuest provides a wonderful venue, low admission cost, hourly door prizes and technical presentations.
